The Limits of Abstraction — Different tools. Shared questions. What makes us want to learn?

  2026. november 8., vasárnap · 16:30–19:00

Doors open at 16:30, the conversation starts at 17:00. Map to the entrance (Barcsay utca 7, at the Hársfa utca corner): eqspc.com/terkep

One works with colour, gesture, and feeling. The other with signals, models, and experiments. Could they be learning to see the same thing? Abstract expressionist painter Cserbik Rita and researcher Lévay György explore how different tools and ways of thinking can lead to common ground through abstraction — and how learning to abstract begins with something we care about. Pölö joins to question, connect, and bring the room into the conversation. Come curious. You might leave seeing your own way of thinking differently.

  Curated Chaos: Outsourced Thinking

  2026. november 12., csütörtök · 19:00–21:00

Just because a thought is in your head, does that mean it’s yours?

From television to search engines, social feeds, and AI, technology shapes what we encounter—and how we think. But when does it help us understand the world, and when do we start outsourcing our judgment?

Join the Chaos Crew for an evening of curious conversation:

  • Which shapes our minds most: TV, the internet, or AI?
  • What makes us believe something?
  • Where’s the line between useful support and dependence?
  • How can we stay independent thinkers in an increasingly curated world?

Bring your questions, your doubts, and a willingness to change your mind.

A magyar vasút Moldova György riportkönyve után ötven évvel

  2026. november 17., kedd · 17:30–20:00

„Moldova György ötven éve írta riportkönyvét a magyar vasútról, vasutasokról. Nála a vasút – az ország. A vasút, a vasutasok küzdelme, hősiessége, slendriánsága, zsiványsága, kínlódása és szerethetősége egyúttal az ország küzdelme, hősiessége, slendriánsága, zsiványsága, kínlódása és szerethetősége. A vasutasok pedig mi magunk vagyunk, magyarok: küzdők, hősiesek, slendriánok, zsiványok, kínlódók és szerethetők. Vagyis mindannyiunkról, rólunk szól az a kötet.”
A BookLab és a 24 Extra gondozásában született könyv bemutatóján a szerzővel Pető Péter beszélget.
